The work still has to happen. So it gets done anyway — by an employee, on a slope, on a machine that was never designed for it. Mowers and tractors carry their weight high and lose traction on wet grass. Rollovers cause crushing injuries every season.

Small Purchases
Below your informal threshold we can provide a written quote directly, usually within a business day of seeing photos of the site.
eVA
We are registered in eVA, Virginia’s eProcurement portal, and receive solicitations under the relevant commodity codes for mowing and vegetation management.
Formal Bids & RFPs
We respond to invitations for bid and requests for proposal. Tell us the solicitation number and closing date and we will confirm whether we intend to bid.
Insurance & Documentation
Certificates of insurance naming your entity as additional insured, W-9, and references from other public agencies — provided on request, before award.
Small & Veteran Business
Veteran owned and family run. Small business certification with the Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity is in progress, which may count toward your participation goals.
Recurring Cycles
Most of this work is not a one-off. We can price per visit or per season so it sits predictably in your operating budget.

The Questions Procurement Always Asks
Are you registered in eVA?
Yes, under the commodity codes for mowing, land clearing and vegetation management, so we receive matching solicitations automatically. If you post through eVA we will see it.
Can you meet our insurance requirements?
We are licensed and insured and can provide a certificate naming your entity as additional insured. Send us your standard insurance requirements with the enquiry and we will confirm in writing that our limits meet them before you go any further.
Do you qualify for small business participation goals?
We are a veteran owned, family run small business. Certification with the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity is in progress. Ask us where that stands when you enquire and we will tell you plainly rather than leaving it ambiguous.
Can you work alongside live traffic?
Because our operator is not on the machine, we have far more flexibility about where a person stands relative to the travel lane — our longest remote range is 1,000 feet.
Traffic control arrangements are set by the agency and by the road involved. Tell us what your maintenance of traffic requirements are for the site and we will confirm what we can provide and what would need to be subcontracted.
What happens to the cuttings and brush?
Everything is mulched on site and spread back across the ground. No hauling, no tipping fees, no disposal line item, and no trucks running in and out of the site.
Can you handle a recurring seasonal cycle?
Yes, and most of this work is better bought that way. We run several remote machines, so more than one site can be in progress at a time and a breakdown does not stop a scheduled cycle.
How far do you travel?
Based in Bedford and working across Central and Southwestern Virginia as a matter of course. We travel further for larger contracts — we have worked as far as Whitpain Township, Pennsylvania.
